  64. Windows 95 is great, but it's not very secure.  How can parents control
  65. which programs their children use?  How can stores, schools, and
  66. libraries allow their computers to be used by the public, yet prevent
  67. people from changing the configuration of complex computer systems?  How
  68. can businesses let employees use the software they need to do their jobs,
  69. yet prevent them from accessing or installing other programs?  How can
  70. anybody keep a log of which programs were run, by who, and for how long?

  72. That's what WinU is for.  WinU is a Windows 95 "parental control" system
  73. with time-out and security access features, three distinct levels of
  74. security control, and many flexible configuration options.  ItÆs easy to

  136. You can install WinU automatically, using the enclosed auto-installer. To
  137. do this, simply run install.exe from within Windows. You can run it using
  138. Explorer or the Run item on the Start menu, or in whatever other
  139. convenient way you choose.  Give it the directory to put the WinU files
  140. into, and the Start menu group name for the WinU icons (appropriate
  141. defaults are suggested). It'll do the rest.  The installer will make no
  142. changes to your system set-up or to any systemwide files.

  144. WinU also includes an uninstaller which will completely remove all its
  145. files from your system if you desire to do so.
